Clevenger Agency is, and always has been a family venture.
It was founded in 1939 in Camden Michigan. In 1978 Wayne and Greg Clevenger father and son, became partners working side-by-side for 12 years. Greg took over the business in 1990 when Wayne retired. Greg's mother, Betty, was the bookkeeper for 55 years before retiring in 2004.

Greg's wife,Tammy, also a licensed agent, has taken over the bookkeeping responsibilities since Betty's retirement. Over the years cousins Linda Salyer (1990), Nola Traxler (1995) and Jeff Clevenger (2005) were added as staff along with Jamie Buckner (2007). In 2004 the Clevenger Insurance Agency, Inc. moved into their new building at the present location of 210 South Main Street, Camden Michigan.
